The Corn Palace

On the way home we stopped by the Corn Palace to see a building made of corn in Mitchell, South Dakota. It was kind of corny. But I guess that's why Willie Nelson is on the side of the building.

Bye Bye South Dakota...

We left at 10 AM this morning. Headed to Souix City, Iowa for the Holiday Inn Express. What a great week in South Dakota. Relaxing, beautiful and fun-filled. Good-bye Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, South Dakota National Parks, and God's beautiful country. Sad Groupie  picture.

The Ruby House...

We made a point to eat at The Ruby House in Keystone for Mac and Ruby's birthday. We bought Ruby a t-shirt from the restaurant to remember the special day. All we had to buy Mac was a new root beer for his bottle collection. He was very excited. After we ate, Mac and Ruby shared a brownie for their birthday. They even got to blow out a candle. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful birthday day.

Dip...

I asked Mac to sit under this sign on the way back to the car. I'm not sure if his definition of the word dip is the same as mine.

Free Fall...

Harry and I opted out of the free fall for various reasons so Mac and Ruby got to do it twice. Not sure why John jumped. Maybe to get out of driving home tomorrow from getting injured. You had to jump straight off the tower and trust that your harness and bungee cord would hold. Wonder who will be sore tomorrow?

The Giant Zip Line...

After getting new parts to our harnesses, we had a long trek back up the steep trail that led to the zip line. Harry raced Ruby. John raced Mac and I was left alone to go last by myself. But at least everyone got to watch me "Yee-Haw" all the way down holding my cowboy hat on my head.

We love to ZIP...

At the end of each ropes course, there was a short zip line.  This got us ready for the giant zip line.
